Community guidelines

BRTR works when neighbors can count on each other. These are the basics we ask every member to follow. This is a draft, and a lawyer has not reviewed it yet.

Be honest about what you can do

• Offer only skills you really have.
• Say how long a job will take as best you can.
• Do not offer work that needs a license you do not hold.

Agree before you start

• Settle the points in chat before the trade is accepted.
• Once you accept, the points are held until the job is done.
• If plans change, say so in the chat as early as you can.

Confirm and rate fairly

• Confirm a trade only when the work is finished.
• Rate the work and how the trade went. Leave out anything about a person's looks, background or beliefs.
• A recommendation cannot be edited once it is posted, so write it with care.

Keep each other safe

• Treat every member with respect. No harassment, threats or hate.
• For a first trade in person, meet somewhere public or bring a friend.
• Keep chats about the trade. Do not ask for passwords or bank details.
• If something feels wrong, report the member or block them in the app.

What happens if someone breaks these rules

We may warn a member, pause their account or remove it. The details of how we review reports are still being written.
